QTY
The total number of securities available through Fidelity of a particular issue.
For bond ladders, this represents the number of bonds or face value of bonds/CDs for that particular issue or rung. Generally, 1 bond equals $1,000 face value.
Also Qty (Gain/Loss), the number of shares sold in the line-item transaction.
Qualified Dividends
Dividends, paid by domestic and certain foreign corporations,
received in 2003 and subject to a tax rate of 15% or 5%, as stipulated in the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation
Act of 2003. Dividends paid by traditional C corporations will generally qualify for this rate, along with dividends
paid by foreign corporations provided (1) the corporation is incorporated in the US or a US possession, (2) its stock
is tradable on an established US securities market, or the corporation is eligible for benefits of a comprehensive
income tax treaty with the US.
Qualified 5-Year Gains
Effective January 1, 2001,
qualified 5-year capital gains are taxed at 8% to the extent they otherwise
would have been taxed at 10%. The 8% tax rate applies to:
Qualified Stock Options (QSOs)
A stock option with preferred tax treatment. You may be eligible for favorable tax treatment when you exercise a QSO if certain conditions are satisfied (e.g., if you meet certain holding period requirements). Consult your grant agreement and your tax advisor for the rules applicable to your grant.
Qualifying Disposition
A stock transaction that meets certain IRS requirements for preferential tax treatment.

Mutual funds whose portfolio management decisions are
based on quantitative analysis, which is usually developed using computerized statistical models of
market behavior.
Quantity
The number of units specified in an order or a
transfer of shares.
On a Transfer Shares Confirmation screen, this is the number of shares of the indicated security that will be transferred from the indicated From account to the indicated To account.
Quantity Available
For secondary bond listings, except Treasuries, the Quantity Available field in the Results table helps indicate the maximum number of bonds the offering dealer is making available at the current listed price. Quantity Available is also present on the New Issue CD table, where the number of CDs will adjust (down) as orders are taken before they are all submitted to the issuing institution.
Quantity Granted
The number of shares in a restricted stock award grant, or the number of units in a restricted stock unit grant.
Quantity (for Positions information)
The number of shares of the security.
Note: There is a maximum number of option contracts per order that can be traded online. If your order exceeds the maximum quantity amount, you will receive an error message with additional information.
Quantity of Shares
This refers to the number of shares in a specific tax lot.
Quantity Provided
When updating cost basis, Quantity Provided field
continually records the number of shares accounted for during the update.
For example, if the original lot quantity for which you are supplying cost basis is 200 shares, when you supply basis for 50 shares, the following happens:

Quantity Type
The type of units shown in the Quantity field (e.g., shares, dollars) for an order.

When you exchange All, you are removing the exchange from investment option for the annuity's portfolio.
Quantity Up to n Bonds
For an indication of interest in a
new issue fixed-income offering (e.g., bond), this is the
maximum number of bonds that you would like to be eligible to receive as a result of participating in an
offering. The number is entered in increments of 1 bond where 1 bond is
equal to $1,000.
For municipal bonds, the minimum quantity is 5 bonds with 5 bond increments. Five bonds is equal to $5,000.
When you confirm an indication of interest in a new issue offering, you have the option of entering a lower amount in the Quantity field.
Quantity Up to n Shares
For an indication of interest in
new issue
Fixed Rate Capital Securities, this is the
maximum number of shares that you would like to receive as a result of participating in the offering. One
share equals $25 and the number is entered in one share increments.
When you confirm an indication of interest in a new issue offering, you have the option of entering a lower quantity.

Displays account balance information while still displaying a trade order entry screen.
Quick Positions
Displays account position information while still displaying a trade order entry
screen.
Quick Ratio (MRQ)
This is also known as the acid test ratio. In a Company Profile,
this ratio is defined as cash plus
short term investments plus accounts receivable for the most recent fiscal quarter (MRQ) divided by the
total current liabilities for the same period.
Quoted Market Value
The market value of the position as calculated using
the Quoted Price (Real Time) and the updated position quantity.
Quoted Price (Real Time)
This is the last trade price as provided from a real-time quote.
