Commenting Guidelines

Three-strike policy

Three strikes, and you’re blocked. For the good of the community, repeat offenders of any of the commenting guidelines will be blocked.

Posts by others

Opinions, statements, or views posted by users on our social media pages are communications by the persons posting them, and they are not adopted or endorsed by Fidelity and do not represent the views of Fidelity or its management. Posts by others that describe opinions, views, or experiences may not be representative or indicative of another's personal experience. Users who have business relationships with Fidelity or other beneficial interests in commenting should be aware that they may have obligations to disclose such relationships or interests in their posts.

No spamming

Spamming posts will be removed and may result in a ban. Avoid duplicate posts, spamming, trolling, ranting, or posting memes. We will treat as spam a high number of messages (3 or more) on the same topic. Do not abuse the reporting system. You can avoid having your post/comment removed as a rant/vent by simply and politely asking for help.

No solicitation, promotions, or third-party content

No solicitation, promotions, or third-party content No posts soliciting or promoting opportunities to members of the community, for personal benefit or otherwise. Posts or comments encouraging others to seek help through other channels (alternate subreddits, third-party websites, etc.) defeat the purpose of our community. Do not copy/paste copyrighted content from third-party sources into your posts.

Securities and investments

The shared goal of our communities is to provide customer care and financial education. While we cannot recommend specific securities or investment strategies, we can provide Fidelity tools and research that may help guide you to find an investment. Other users may also offer an opinion on investments. Fidelity doesn’t endorse any of the expressions, opinions, or content posted by non-Fidelity members or any third parties on our social media pages. Do not rely on comments to form the basis of an investment decision. Always make sure to do your due diligence prior to investing.
