Protect your password
Are you having trouble logging in? If you've incorrectly entered your password multiple times, you'll be locked out of your account and will need to reset. You can also change your password to enhance your security at any time.
Use different passwords for each of your accounts
Use long, unique passwords for each of your online accounts. Reusing a password for multiple websites is never a good idea. If hackers obtain your password, they will first check if it works for other websites. It's also best to change your passwords if you know or suspect they’ve been compromised.
Password re-use is a leading cause of successful account takeovers and fraudulent money movement, making it crucial to use unique passwords for each account.
Don’t share your passwords
Fidelity will never ask you for your password. If you receive a communication asking for your login credentials, do not respond as it is not from Fidelity. Fidelity representatives will never have knowledge of your encrypted password.

Create strong, complex passwords
Your password shouldn’t be easy to guess, so avoid using any personal information, such as your name, birthday, Social Security number, wedding anniversary, or other information that’s easily attained with a search engine. In addition, don't use a component of your username in your password.
When setting up a password, you should also avoid using sequential or repetitive characters (i.e., 12345 or aaaaa), or any commonly used words (e.g. password or p@ssw0rd.) Finally, consider using a passphrase, which are longer, stronger, and easier to remember than passwords. Passphrases are sequences of words or phrases used together to create a strong, memorable password for enhanced security.
