Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Fall Pre-Bell Monday

09:14 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were falling pre-bell Monday, with The Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) down 0.5% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) 1.6% lower.

Corcept Therapeutics ( CORT ) shares were up over 81% after the company said its phase 3 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel to treat a type of ovarian cancer met its primary goal.

Vaxcyte ( PCVX ) said its 24-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine candidate VAX-24, designed to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease, showed substantial immune response in healthy infants after three doses. Shares of Vaxcyte ( PCVX ) were down more than 45% premarket.

BeiGene ( ONC ) shares were up more than 2% after the company said the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended approval of Tevimbra combined with etoposide and platinum chemotherapy as a first-line treatment for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.
