We lower our target price by $34 to $65, 20.5x our 2025 EPS view, below TER's five-year average and our prior view (both 25.5x) on worsening global trade headwinds related to export controls and tariffs, which should exacerbate persistent issues across auto/industrial and the oversupplied memory tester market. We lower our 2025 EPS view by $0.73 to $3.17 and cut 2026's by $0.79 to $4.62. Prior to April 2, TER shares had sold off significantly (~25%) since Q4 earnings as management reduced its 2025 sales guide in March (from +15% to +5-10%) on customer order delays. We see the new reciprocal tariffs announced yesterday by the U.S. (which were much higher than we expected) creating additional uncertainties and order delays/cancellations, with the inherently global semiconductor industry facing a particularly challenging web of complexities and costs, and with TER's international exposure (87% of total sales) leaving it particularly vulnerable to retaliatory measures, even if April 2 tariff levels are rolled back.
