Morguard Increases Ownership of Morguard REIT

10:01 AM EDT, 04/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Morguard ( MRCBF ) said on Tuesday that it bought 1.3 million trust units of Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust (MRT-UN.TO) through the Toronto Stock Exchange and alternative Canadian trading systems and through its participation in the REIT's distribution reinvestment plan.

Following the acquisition, Morguard ( MRCBF ) together with Paros Enterprises and K. Rai Sahi owns 53.2 million units, representing 82% of the outstanding units.

Morguard ( MRCBF ) said the units were bought for investment purposes and that the company and its affiliates may increase or decrease its beneficial ownership, control or direction over securities of the REIT through market transactions, private agreements or otherwise.
