European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Tuesday Trading

11:06 AM EDT, 04/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were trending higher late Tuesday morning, rising 1.05% to 1,344.05 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by telecommunications company Ericsson (ERIC) and hotel booking trivago (TRVG), which climbed 7.9% and 3.1%, respectively. They were followed by financial services company Banco Santander (SAN) and medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) , which were up 3% and 1.7%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT) and biotech firm BioNTech (BNTX), which fell 4.6% and 3.2%, respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO) and biopharmaceutical company argenx (ARGX), which were down 1.7% and 1.4%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which advanced 7.8% and 5.6%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) , which rose 5.3% and 4.5%, respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) , which tumbled 11.5%, followed by biotech firm Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) and alcoholic beverage company Diageo ( DEO ) , which were down 5% and 2%, respectively.
