Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Sharply Higher in Tuesday Trading

10:54 AM EDT, 04/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts rose sharply higher Tuesday morning, rising 1% to 2 012,72 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile ( JG ) and financial services company Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group ( SMFG ) , which rose 3.2% and 4.2% respectively. They were followed by travel company Tuniu ( TOUR ) , which was up 2.2% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by consumer lending firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which fell 5.8% and 4.1% respectively. They were followed by computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which dropped 3.2% and 4.2% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by financial services companies HDFC Bank ( HDB ) and ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which increased 3.2% and 1.9% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) , which were up 0.9% and 0.2% respectively.

The lone decliner from South Asia was IT firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) , which fell 3.9%.
