CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as Trump hints at auto tariff exemptions

April 15 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, buoyed by metal mining shares, after U.S. President Donald Trump hinted at possible automotive tariff exemptions.

At 9:32 a.m. ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.2% at 23,915.03 points.
