03:43 PM EDT, 04/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks rose late Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) adding 1.6% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) up 2.1%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index was 0.9% higher.

In corporate news, Palantir Technologies' ( PLTR ) deal with NATO represents an additional boost for the company, with AI initiatives gaining momentum across both US and European governments, Wedbush Securities said in a note Monday. Palantir ( PLTR ) shares were rising 6%.
