Wide receiver Julio Jones officially announced his retirement from the NFL via the social media app Squad on Friday.

Jones is one of the most prolific pass-catchers of the modern era. He is a five-time All-Pro (twice selected to the first team) and a seven-time Pro Bowler.

Jones, who spent the bulk of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, recorded 1,300-plus receiving yards in six consecutive seasons. In 2015, he led the NFL with 1,871 receiving yards, which is the third-most in a single season in league history.

For his career, Jones finishes with 914 receptions for 13,703 yards (16th-most all-time) and 66 touchdowns. His career mark of 82.5 receiving yards per game ranks fifth all-time.

Jones was the sixth overall draft pick by the Falcons in 2011. After playing 10 seasons for the franchise, he spent one season apiece with the Tennessee Titans (2021), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2022) and Philadelphia Eagles (2023).
