05:40 AM EDT, 04/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- U.S. natural gas spot prices rose at most locations in the week ended April 2, with the benchmark Henry Hub spot price increasing by US$0.19 to US$4.05/million British thermal units, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its Natural Gas Weekly Update released Thursday.

Liquefied natural gas prices in East Asia declined by US$0.18 to US$13.15/MMBtu, the EIA reported, citing data from Bloomberg Finance. Title Transfer Facility natural gas prices in Europe fell US$0.27 to US$13.08/MMBtu.

U.S. natural gas supply edged lower by 0.4% on lower average net imports from Canada, the EIA said, citing data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.

U.S. natural gas supply dropped 7.8% as warmer weather across much of the country led to a nearly 22% decline in consumption in the residential and commercial sector, the agency said.

Net additions to gas storage facilities amounted to 29 billion cubic feet for the week ended March 28, resulting in total working gas stocks of 1,773 Bcf, the EIA reported. This was 80 Bcf lower than the five-year average and 491 Bcf lower than the year-ago period.
