01:14 PM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Any bankruptcy-related buyer of 23andMe Holding (ME) should honor the company's privacy policies that vow to not disclose customers' genetic information, Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson said Monday in a letter to the US Trustee.

"Any purchaser should expressly agree to be bound by and adhere to the terms of 23andMe's privacy policies and applicable law, including as to any changes it subsequently makes to those policies," the letter said.
