12:42 PM EDT, 03/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Resideo Technologies ( REZI ) and Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google Home are working together to integrate First Alert's smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with the Nest Protect smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm.

The new First Alert alarm will be compatible with Nest Protect, allowing users to extend coverage or replace expiring Nest devices within the Google Home ecosystem.

Users can manage the device through both the First Alert and Google Home apps, according to the companies.
