06:27 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bloomberg TV is reporting Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump in a social media post overnight threatened both Canada and the European Union about working together to harm the U.S. This came after he put a 25% tariff on auto imports, effective April 2, in a move that will hurt the Canadian economy.

It is citing Trump saying: "If the European Union works with Canada in order to do economic harm to the USA, large scale Tariffs, far larger than currently planned, will be placed on them both in order to protect the best friend that each of those two countries has ever had!"
