BOAO, China, March 27 (Reuters) - There is a significant rise of uncertainties in the world, Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said on Thursday at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum.

China will promote globalisation, safeguard free trade and resolutely oppose protectionism, Ding said, adding that Beijing will resolve disputes through dialogue.

The country's economy had a good start this year, and China is confident in achieving its growth target and will implement more pro-active macro policies in 2025, Ding added. (Reporting by Kevin Yao and Beijing newsroom; Editing by Jamie Freed)
