The Times

- The CEO of British Gas owner Centrica ( CPYYF ) said that expectations of "mass migration to windy places" was not realistic in response to zonal electricity pricing proposals championed by rival Octopus Energy.

- The board of UK-based Celadon Pharmaceuticals, which is focused on the production and sale of cannabis-based medicines, has resigned after losing a battle with the company's founder over a planned de-listing.

- Thousands of jobs could be cut as part of the government's planned shake-up of Britain's railway industry, with state-owned Great British Railways set to run the railway and take every train operator into public ownership as existing contracts expire.

The Telegraph

- British supermarket Morrisons on Monday said about 365 employees could lose their jobs as part of a reduction of store operations aimed at offsetting what it called "significant cost increases".

- Britain's tax authority HM Revenue and Customs could be forced to repay Uber ( UBER ) 1.3 billion pounds ($1.68 billion)after losing a key court battle over attempts to charge VAT on minicab fares.
