03:08 PM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is planning to add cameras to future Apple Watch models that will enable various artificial intelligence features, Bloomberg reported Sunday.

The iPhone maker will add the cameras to both Series and Ultra versions, with a target launch in 2027, according to the report. The cameras will enable AI features like Visual Intelligence, which provides real-time information about objects being pointed at, the report said.

Apple ( AAPL ) is reportedly also working on AirPods with built-in cameras, expected to launch around the same time.

Camera placement will differ between models, with the Series watches featuring a camera in the display, while the Ultra model will have its camera on the side, according to Bloomberg.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares were edging 0.8% higher in recent trading.
