WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Friday designated Argentina's former president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and a former minister for what Washington termed as their "involvement in significant corruption."

The designation renders Kirchner and Argentina's former planning minister Julio Miguel De Vido and their immediate family members ineligible for entry into the United States, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement.
