Ecopetrol Signs Agreement to Develop 49% of Jemeiwaa Ka'I Wind Cluster in Colombia

10:22 AM EDT, 04/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ecopetrol ( EC ) said Monday it has entered into an investment framework agreement to develop 49% of the Jemeiwaa Ka'I wind cluster project in La Guajira, Colombia, with AES Colombia & CIA SCA.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Jemeiwaa Ka'I includes a series of wind projects situated in the upper and middle Guajira, within the municipality of Uribia, with an estimated capacity of 1,087 megawatts and a 35 kilometers transmission line.

Ecopetrol ( EC ) said, upon meeting the necessary conditions and legal requirements, it will release the relevant information through the appropriate channels in compliance with its legal obligations.

Shares of Ecopetrol ( EC ) were up more than 2% in recent Monday trading.
