Colombia oil producer Ecopetrol ties up wind farm deal

April 14 (Reuters) - Colombian state-run oil firm Ecopetrol has signed an agreement with AES Colombia to build a cluster of wind farms in the northern province of La Guajira, it said on Monday.

Ecopetrol did not give a figure for the investment required, which will give it a 49% stake in the project. Other energy firms have pulled out of wind projects in the province on opposition from local communities. (Reporting by Kylie Madry)
