06:04 AM EDT, 04/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) assembled $22 billion worth of iPhones in India in the year through March, with production up roughly 60% year over year, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The technology giant now makes 20% of iPhones in India, the unnamed sources told the news outlet.

The ramp-up indicates that Apple ( AAPL ) and its suppliers are accelerating a pivot to India from China, according to the report.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

The company's shares were up 5% in recent premarket activity.
