AT&T's Wireline Assets in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to Be Acquired by UP Fiber

08:09 AM EDT, 03/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AT&T's ( T ) wireline infrastructure in Michigan's Upper Peninsula would be acquired by UP Fiber while AT&T ( T ) customers would be serviced by Michigan Broadband Services after the transaction closes, UP Fiber said Friday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The transaction covers over 10,000 miles of copper and fiber network connecting more than 9,000 residential and business customers, UP Fiber said, adding it plans to upgrade the system with fiber technology and improve internet speeds in the area.

UP Fiber said Michigan Broadband Services, a unit of MachTen, will manage sales, support, and operations for customers.
