General Motors, Nvidia to Develop Custom AI Systems for Vehicles, Manufacturing

02:33 PM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) and Nvidia ( NVDA ) said Tuesday they are collaborating to develop custom AI systems for next-generation vehicles, factories, and robotics.

General Motors ( GM ) plans to train AI manufacturing models using Nvidia's ( NVDA ) accelerated computing platforms, including Omniverse, to optimize factory planning and robotics. The automaker will also create digital twins of assembly lines for virtual testing and production simulations aimed at improving efficiency.

In addition, General Motors ( GM ) intends to build future vehicles using Nvidia's ( NVDA ) Drive AGX platform and safety-certified operating system to enhance advanced driver-assistance and in-cabin experiences.

General Motors ( GM ) shares were down 2.9%, while Nvidia ( NVDA ) declined 2.3% in recent trading.
