Ryan Stuebe is Director of Bitcoin Mining in Fidelity Center for Applied Technology. Ryan oversees Fidelity’s bitcoin mining research and development. FCAT began mining bitcoin in 2015 as a technical proof-of-concept in our early research and development to understand the potential of cryptocurrencies and digital assets. This research includes monitoring bitcoin’s network economics, evaluating opportunities for renewable and stranded energy to sustainably power datacenters and identifying trends that will shape the mining ecosystem in the next 3-5 years. Prior to his current role, Ryan was a Product Manager in FCAT’s Blockchain Incubator. Ryan holds a BS in Finance from Quinnipiac University.
