Jason Ward is Head of the Blockchain Incubator in Fidelity’s Center for Applied Technology (FCAT). In his current role, Jason is responsible for monitoring the blockchain ecosystem, building cryptoasset & blockchain capabilities and curating the roadmap for the FCAT Blockchain Incubator.
Prior to joining FCAT, Jason was responsible for leading Business Architecture and Strategy initiatives to optimize Middle and Back Office service capabilities. Jason also served as the Head of Global Trade Operations where he was responsible for the daily operations of cash securities, FX, mortgage allocations, tri-party repo, derivatives, and collateral management operations.
Jason currently serves on the Board of Directors for ISITC and is a member of the ICI Digital Asset & Fintech Advisory Group and Securities Operations Advisory Committee. He has also served on various SIFMA / AMF, ISDA operations committees and the Omgeo Americas Regional Advisory Council.
Jason holds a B.A. in English from St. Michael’s College, VT and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
Jason is also one of the hosts of the FCAT Crypto Brief podcast which is available on Apple, Google and Spotify.
