What cryptocurrencies can I trade in Fidelity Crypto® accounts?
You can trade bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin in Fidelity Crypto® accounts.

What are the fees for trading in Fidelity Crypto® accounts?
Your Fidelity Crypto® trades are commission free. A spread of 1% will be included in every trade execution price. A spread is the difference between your execution price and the price at which Fidelity Digital Assets℠ buys or sells digital assets to fill your order. Fidelity Digital Assets℠ will not separately calculate and disclose spread earned on the trade confirmation screen. Watch this video to learn more about spread.
If you have an account through Fidelity Crypto® for Wealth Managers, please see your customer agreement for the applicable spread and contact your advisor or intermediary for details on other fees that apply to your Fidelity Crypto® for Wealth Managers account. You can find it in the Fidelity Crypto Agreements & Disclosures in your account profile on the Fidelity Investments® app and at the bottom of the account page on Fidelity.com.

Trading in Fidelity Crypto® accounts is available 23 hours a day, from 1 a.m. ET until midnight. Periodically, a scheduled maintenance event may keep trading unavailable until 4 a.m. ET.

When maintenance is scheduled for Fidelity Crypto® accounts, crypto trading is unavailable from midnight to 4 a.m. ET. Account information might be unavailable during the maintenance period.

How do limit orders execute in Fidelity Crypto® accounts?
A limit order sets the maximum price at which you’re willing to buy or the minimum price at which you’re willing to sell. A limit order targets a price but does not guarantee an execution. Your crypto limit order executes when Fidelity Digital Assets℠ can buy or sell at the price you selected, which includes a 1% spread.

When do limit orders expire in Fidelity Crypto® accounts?
In Fidelity Crypto® accounts, limit orders are good for the day and expire at midnight (12 a.m. ET).

What are the third-party liquidity providers for Fidelity Crypto®?
Fidelity Digital Assets℠ maintains a network of vetted and approved third-party liquidity providers. External trading counterparties go through an extensive onboarding and risk management approval process.

What exchanges does Fidelity Digital Assets℠ use for crypto trading?
Fidelity Digital Assets℠ doesn't share the names of its liquidity providers, for legal reasons. As the provider of custody and trade execution services for Fidelity Crypto®, Fidelity Digital Assets℠ can confirm that customer assets are always kept within its proprietary custody solution and are never custodied on any exchange.

Can I trade crypto in my Fidelity Brokerage Services account?
You must have a Fidelity Crypto® account, which is offered by Fidelity Digital Assets℠, to buy and sell crypto directly. In Fidelity Brokerage Services accounts, exchange-traded products let investors participate in crypto markets without directly buying or selling crypto. Learn more about crypto ETFs.

Can I buy spot or futures crypto in Fidelity Crypto® accounts?
Fidelity Crypto® accounts allow you to buy spot cryptocurrencies. Futures are not offered.

Can I buy Fidelity® Wise Origin® Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) through Fidelity Crypto®?
You can’t buy the Fidelity® Wise Origin® Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) through a Fidelity Crypto® account. Fidelity Crypto® accounts offered by Fidelity Digital Assets℠ allow investors to directly buy, sell, and secure cryptocurrencies like bitcoin or ethereum. FBTC is an exchange-traded product offered by Fidelity Brokerage Services that seeks to track the performance of bitcoin. Can I buy Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) through Fidelity Crypto®?
You can’t buy the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) through a Fidelity Crypto® account. Fidelity Crypto® accounts offered by Fidelity Digital Assets℠ allow investors to directly buy, sell, and secure cryptocurrencies like bitcoin or ethereum. FETH is an exchange-traded product offered by Fidelity Brokerage Services that seeks to track the performance of ether (also called ethereum). Can I add trading authority to my Fidelity Crypto® account?
You can’t add trading authorization to allow another person to trade in your Fidelity Crypto® account. To keep your account secure, you should never share your login information.

Why can’t I trade in my Fidelity Crypto® for Wealth Managers account?
If you opened your Fidelity Crypto® account through your advisor, you may not have trade authorization, in which case the advisor authorized to manage your accounts would place trades for you. You can still view your account information on Fidelity.com and via the Fidelity Investments® app. If you’re able to trade on other advisor-managed accounts but not in your Fidelity Crypto® account, please contact your financial advisor.

Does pattern day trading in my funding account affect my Fidelity Crypto® account?
If your funding account is flagged for pattern day trading, this could reduce your cash available to transfer into your Fidelity Crypto® account. There are no day trading limits on cryptocurrencies.
