You will have an account restriction if you move to a state where Fidelity Crypto® isn't available. You will also be notified of your account restriction.

Will closing my funding account affect my Fidelity Crypto® account?
Closing your funding account will restrict moving money in or out until your Fidelity Crypto® account has an eligible funding account. You can link your Fidelity Crypto® account to a new or existing eligible funding account (available once every 365 days), or you can re-open your closed account by contacting customer service at 800-343-3548 and requesting "re-open my brokerage account."

Will transferring my entire funding account to another brokerage firm affect my Fidelity Crypto® account?
Transferring your entire funding account to another brokerage firm automatically closes the account, which restricts moving money in or out until your Fidelity Crypto® account has an eligible funding account. You can link your Fidelity Crypto® account to a new or existing eligible funding account (available once every 365 days), or you can re-open your closed account by contacting customer service at 800-343-3548 and requesting "re-open my brokerage account."

Can I transfer my Fidelity Crypto® account if my funding account has been transferred to another brokerage firm?
If your funding account has already been transferred and closed, you can transfer the value of your Fidelity Crypto® account by selling all crypto positions and contacting customer service to help you transfer all money to your closed funding account. Call 800-343-3548 and request “transfer between accounts.” The transferred money will be automatically sent to the firm receiving your transfer of assets.

How do I close my Fidelity Crypto® account?
To close your Fidelity Crypto® account, you must sell all crypto assets, transfer all money to your funding account, and contact customer service. Call 800-343-3548 and request “close my Fidelity Crypto® account.”

Will a change to my citizenship affect my Fidelity Crypto® account?
You must be a U.S. citizen to open or maintain a Fidelity Crypto® account, so changes to your citizenship status could cause your account to be restricted. You would be unable to buy crypto or to move money into your Fidelity Crypto® account.

Will changing the registration of my funding account affect my Fidelity Crypto® account?
Changing the registration of your funding account could make it ineligible for linking to your Fidelity Crypto® account. Registration changes that could make the funding account ineligible include converting into a trust, pledging as collateral, or changes in ownership that exclude any owners of the linked Fidelity Crypto® account. If your funding account becomes ineligible, you’ll be unable to buy crypto or to move money into your Fidelity Crypto® account. You can link your Fidelity Crypto® account to a new or existing eligible funding account (available once every 365 days).
