About Fidelity

Community Relations

Overview

We are committed to the financial health of communities and focus on expanding access to financial education and skill-based volunteering for our associates.

To best deliver financial education programs and experiences for Communities of Color that support building wealth and saving for retirement, we refined our financial education offerings for kids, teachers and parents with the goal of building transformational change; not transactional relationships. We proudly collaborate with nonprofit organizations, across our footprint and beyond, to help drive impact in our local communities. Our community impact includes free financial wellness programs with nonprofit partners, leveraging the skills of our associates to address nonprofits’ needs, and funding nonprofit organizations that support underserved Communities of Color.

Investing in Communities

Now more than ever, Fidelity remains committed to being well-connected to the communities and nonprofit organizations that are responding to ongoing, systemic challenges. Our work is grounded in authentically partnering with communities that know best what their needs are and building trusted relationships with nonprofits based on transparency and mutual learning. Through the “Investing In Communities” video series learn more about our efforts to build partnerships with best-in-class nonprofit organizations with the goal of providing access and opportunities for underserved communities.

Fidelity Financial ForwardSM

We make it easy to get started with a financial education with students of any age, whether you’re at home or in the classroom. With curated content organized by age, educators, parents, and anyone with a vested interest in a child’s education, can have the necessary tools to teach children from grades K-12 about healthy money habits.

Big Thought and Trust Based Philanthropy

Throughout the pandemic and the systematic effects of inequality nonprofit organizations are being tested on how well they can adapt their operations and other mission-critical work. Hear from Byron Sanders, Executive Director of Big Thought, a nonprofit out of Dallas as he and Pam Everhart discuss the value of Inclusion in Trust-based philanthropy.

Building Community Partnerships

Fidelity has a long history of working with and in underserved communities. In 2020, we took a pause to look at our community impact and ask, ‘What are the factors impacting Communities of Color and how can community partnership help address them?’. Teresa Pelletier, VP of Community Relations discusses our recent nonprofit listening tour in an article for the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals (ACCP).
