Transfers to and from your bank

An electronic funds transfer (EFT) is a digital transfer of money from one account to another. You can use this method to transfer funds between Fidelity and your outside bank. Transfers from your bank are a fast, secure way to fund your account and start trading, as money requested from your bank before 4 p.m. on a business day is typically available to invest instantly.

How long does an EFT take?

EFTs in and out of Fidelity accounts generally process within 1-3 business days, though the funds are typically available for trading if sent before 4 p.m. ET on a business day.

EFTs are not processed on Saturdays, Sundays, or New York Stock Exchange and bank holidays. Transfers sent after 4 p.m. ET will not process until the next business day.

Transfer limits and fees

Fidelity does not charge fees for transfers to and from you bank. There is no limit to the number of transfers you can submit per business day. The minimum deposit amount for each EFT is $1.00. The daily withdrawal limit for transfers to your bank is $100,000. The daily deposit limit for transfers from your bank is $250,000.
